BRINGING BETTER BALANCE TO CAREGIVERS OF COMPLEX NEEDS KIDS

Welcome to ParentDashboard!

We are a social purpose enterprise that connects social media business profits to the daily needs of special needs families.

At ParentDashboard, we understand that raising a child with autism or other complex needs comes with unique challenges. Whether you're in crisis mode, seeking stability, or looking to build a long-term plan for your child's future, our ecosystem is designed to support you every step of the way. Our services, community, and resources are built by parents, for parents, around parent needs, to ensure that you never have to walk this journey alone.

Our Philosophy & Approach

Our Philosophy: Traditional government and insurance systems are failing families - needs are not met, and not met in time. Non-profits and charities often rely on government or philanthropists and have limitation on what they can do and who they can do it for. There is a plethora of money in the world, but it just doesnt get spent directly on helping families. We need a new delivery mechanism to take profits from online buiness and deliver or translate them for families of special needs in an accessible way. ParentDashboard has developed an this social purpose enterprise delivery system.

Our Approach: ParentDashboard is a business enterprise developed by a special needs parent, specifically to generate and use the revenues from digital media marketing & sales of business partners, products and services to direct it towards the things Parents need. We want to cut out the paperwork usually needed to get our kids help, and provide a simple flexible way that Parents can access services they need in real time, as they need them. ParentDashboard develops the online businesses that generates the income from their sales and then shares those profits with Parents, who access their benefits through the ParentDashboard Points Program. This is an experimental model, using specialized technology, online business, social media, and the generousity of our business partners.

ParentDashboard is built on the understanding that raising a child with complex needs does not come with an instruction manual, that parents need real-life logistical assistance, and that frequently government and insurance or other system supports will not always meet needs. We feel no special needs parent should have to navigate this journey alone, and our intent is to help where traditional systems and existing services do not. By combining practical support, tools, connection to professionals, a thriving community and the opportunity to obtain support through ParentDashboard Points Program, we help transform daily caregiver exhaustion into resilience, connection, and long-term security for families.

OUR FOUNDER

Michelle Boshard is a relentless problem-solver, passionate advocate, and social purpose entrepreneur dedicated to transforming the lives of special needs families. As a mother of a now-adult child with severe autism, non-verbal communication, and complex behavioral needs, Michelle knows firsthand the exhaustion, isolation, and financial strain that caregivers endure. But she also knows that with the right support, parents can rise from survival mode to success—and she's made it her mission to pave that path for others.

ParentDashboard wasn’t just a business idea; it was born out of necessity. Like so many parents of children with complex needs, Michelle found herself navigating a broken system—one that lacked adequate support, funding, and sustainable solutions for families like hers. When she realized that essential services simply didn’t exist (or weren’t accessible to those who needed them most), she did what any determined parent would do—she built them herself.

With a background in environmental science, business consulting, and social service innovation, Michelle has spent over a decade bridging gaps between policy, business, and real-world family needs. She has worked in government and non-profit sectors, collaborated with First Nations communities, and advised high-level entrepreneurs, all while homeschooling her neurodiverse children and developing sustainable income streams for families like hers.

Michelle ended up having to develop an entire care company around her son when government, education and insurance systems failed. She developed a local respite and homeschool delivery company that paid fair wages to well vetted caregivers but found that parents couldnt afford the supports that she and they both needed, so looked for a "bake sale" to generate income to help pay. While no longer actively providing hands on care after COVID, she explored and retrained in the online business world. Then while sidelined from work due to a lack of care supports when her son became an adult, Michelle developed technology and online business partners as a way to get online business to pay for family supports directly (mostly because she hated paperwork).

Through ParentDashboard, Michelle has created a revolutionary experimental Social Purpose Enterprise model—a business that operates with the heart of a nonprofit but harnesses the power of social media to generate profit and redistribute it to families. Rather than relying on limited government funding or charity, ParentDashboard independently generates its own revenues by supporting online businesses with digital marketing services and its own services and products. Michelle's aim is to develop a self-sustaining business model to ensure that special needs families have access to real, practical solutions without being at the mercy of inconsistent funding cycles or bureaucratic red tape.

Her vision is bold: to eliminate caregiver burnout, restore financial security to special needs families, and redefine the future of inclusive living. ParentDashboard isn’t just a service—it’s an economic engine that empowers parents to create stability, opportunity, and long-term security for themselves and their children.

When she’s not building tech systems that change lives, Michelle can be found taking pictures in the forests on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada, gardening or teaching people how to craft their online offers as The Natural Entrepreneur or running online events through her digital marketing agency Vancouver Island Social Media. Her legacy is one of empowerment—because she believes that when parents are supported, their children thrive, and entire communities rise.
